A Brief History of Family Church


In 1977, Revs. David and Connie Alessi founded Bible Christian Fellowship with a desire to minister to the people of Fredonia, Dunkirk and the surrounding area. 

Pastor Michael Lokietek joined the staff of Bible Christian Fellowship as the Associate Pastor in 1987.  When the Founding Pastors began a full-time evangelistic ministry in 1995, Pastor Lokietek became the Senior Pastor.

The church name was changed to Family Church in 2004, which indicated its growth and scope of outreach.  Since then, Family Church has expanded its outreach and ministry through the establishment of churches in Jamestown, NY, South Dayton, NY, and Warren, PA.

Family Church in Fredonia continues to grow and serve the people of Chautauqua County, offering two Sunday services, a Fall and Spring semester of Tuesday night School of the Bible, and multiple outreaches.
